Pheasant
Feathers |
Reeve's Pheasant tail feathers, which can be
almost two meters long are used in costumes such as head-dresses of some
Chinese Opera costumes.
It has become a practice to collect feathers from the birds after their
annual molt. In this way, wild birds will be protected whilst the
traditional Chinese Opera costumes can still be made and enjoyed. |
 |
They
also look great in topiaries. Any type of climbing plant looks
great with feathers.
