Decorative Rooster Feathers
|
|
Continental
Feathers has fifteen varieties of rooster tail feathers.
Rooster tail feathers are some of the most visually interesting
feathers because of the tendency to curl or wave at the tips
of the feathers. They come in several different colors
such as
grey chinchilla,
bronze,
half-bronze, and
white. We also sell them dyed. Half Bronze Dyed
Schlappen takes color in such a fantastic way. The mid to
tips of the feather are a rich deep color, but the bottom
half of the feather absorbs color brilliantly giving a two-town
effect that is breath-taking. The dyed schlappen comes in
several brilliant colors, perfect for costumes and headdresses.
Great for a child's arts & crafts project.
But they are not just great for children. Rooster feathers
are the best feathers for headdresses, hats, any type of hair
accessory, or any type of head wear in general. They
are also excellent worn around the neck as part of a ceremonial
costume or sewn on to the collar of a sweater or the lapels
of a jacket. The possibilities are endless! |
|
Natural
and Dyed Rooster Schlappen are a
favorite of costume designers. Make fabulous showgirl costumes
or something worthy of Carnivale in Brazil. This mask left was made
with dyed half-bronze rooster tail feathers, tied and glued to a simple
mask decorated with sequins.
Or you can frame the entire mask with these feathers for more dramatic
coverage -great if you are making some kind of a bird masquerade costume.
Whether dyed or natural these feathers will look amazing on any costume
at any event (such as a masquerade ball)! |

Tail Feathers and Schlappen |
|
| Rooster
Tail Feathers are gorgeous. This color is all natural, rich and
deep. The plumage is luminescent and the feathers are extremely
silky. Excellent for costumes and headdresses. Schlappen is a type
of rooster hackle feather located at the base of the tail. The feathers
are soft and flexible but wider and denser than saddle feathers. They come
strung or loose. They make an a great hair accessory also.
Just take 3 to 5 feathers, put your hair in a loose bun and just
stick them in the side of the bun. Excellent as an accent to a lady's
hat and can easily be sewn on. We recommend the colors below. |
|
These
feathers are striped and come in shades of tawny, cream, and bronze
that go gorgeous with brown to golden tone clothing and hats |
Hints
of blue, green, bright white, and buff go great with grey and cool-toned
colors. |
These
half-bronze rooster tail feathers are dyed black, which creates a
liquid bronze feather that goes great with anything! |
|
| The
Strung White Rooster Schlappen below is great choice for small angel's wings,
a child's halo, or to add drama to any child's arts & crafts
project.
Children love these feathers! |
